Mo:delic Arts
An artist with many expressions, Vanese began Mo:delic Arts as the visual
component of her live performances as well as design work for textile merchandise and home decor. Reconnecting with her film degree roots, in 2020 she began offering her visual expertise to other multidisciplinary projects, including live multi-camera feeds and original video projections dubbed “moving textiles.” Vanese's work
is heavily process-based, creatively using numerous layers of paper collage,
original illustration, photography, and turntable to maximize analog materials.
Inspired by sacred geometry, psychedelia, nature, and architecture, she explores themes of ancestral connection, futurism, and play.
Visual projections include presentations for Avant MUTEK, Wavelength, Imaginary North, More Noise Please, Illuminarium, The Music Gallery, NUMUS, Women From
Space Festival, LinkMusicLab and more. Vanese was also highlighted in
Wire Magazine (UK) for visually contributing to a stand out performance in collaboration with live musicians.
